Some frozen pics from the weekend: also after pics were taken I was taking the trash can in and it hit the marker light on the Volvo and busted it out, joy.
Oh and I’m still running summer tires, like a boss Dumbass

Wait, how are you not in a ditch right now with the summer tires?? End of November on the first rainy day with the temps ~40ish and I could barely drive in a straight line much less go around any turns. It was scary! Switched over the next day.

-shrug- tons of drivers training and learning to drive in a Chicago winter?
I had to take it to the shop for a schedule oil change, they informed me I had no tread on my summer tires, and were equally shocked on my lack of being in a ditch.
Seriously I just drove for the conditions Slow speed, lots of room given for error and smooth inputs, nothing sudden.
They should be swapped out soon for some no season tires soonish.

it works OK until it doesn’t. I learned from my own embarrassment in my SRT-4 with its factory summer tires. Getting stuck on 1" of packed snow on level ground is, shall we say, a tad humiliating.

Well yeah I probably could have avoided ditching my car too but it was just butt-clenchingly annoying to struggle just to make it to work without there even being snow on the ground. Haha that shit was driving me mad! I plan to move away from snow places forever by next year this time though so no more worrying about that =)
